Ingredients for a 24 cm springform pan

  • 200g dark chocolate
  • 150 g butter
  • 150 g sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 200 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 100 ml milk

  1. Melt chocolate and butter

    • Roughly chop the chocolate and melt it with the butter over a water bath. Let it cool slightly.
  2. Prepare the dough

    • Beat the eggs and sugar in a food processor until frothy.
    • Stir in the melted chocolate-butter mixture.
    • Mix together flour, baking powder, and salt, then add to the batter alternately with the milk. Stir everything until you have a smooth batter.
  3. Bake

    • Pour the batter into a greased springform pan.
    • Bake in a preheated oven at 175 °C (top/bottom heat) for approximately 45 minutes.
    • Perform a stick test, remove and let cool.
  4. Serve

    • Sprinkle with powdered sugar or coat with chocolate glaze, if desired.
